Your Confidence

The Lord will be your confidence.

For the Lord will be your confidence, And will keep your foot from being caught.

Proverbs 3:26 NKJV

For the Lord will be your confidence, And will keep your foot from being caught. Proverbs 3:26 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/pro.3.26.NKJV

All the glory, praises and honor be to the Holy Father in Jesus’ precious name!

The subject verse brings before us the truth about the confidence of a child of God. Indeed, it is the Lord who is the source of confidence for all of us. Those who walk in the way of the Lord Jesus Christ, shall have this confidence. Those who reverently seek and trust in the Lord shall have this confidence. For the true confidence comes from the Lord and does not come from one’s competency. As the Bible says, our confidence is from God and not that we could ever be self-sufficient.

Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, ‘

2 Corinthians 3:4-5 ESV

As the above verse says, our sufficiency is from God. Very importantly, when we heed to the Lord and walk in His path, we shall not falter. Moreover, it is clear from the subject verse that our Lord will keep our foot from being caught. It is for us to be steadfast in our relationship with the Living God.

‘He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. ‘

Psalm 121:3 ESV

The Lord protects us and lead our steps in the paths of righteousness. Therefore, let our confidence be in our Lord Jesus alone. As the scriptures says, the Almighty God who keeps us will not slumber. We may slumber in our efforts, but not the Almighty God in His promises.

In Jesus matchless and mighty name be protected. Amen.
