Keep My Promises

I will keep my promises to the Lord.

‘I will keep my promises to the Lord in the presence of all his people.’

Psalms 116:14 NLT

I will keep my promises to the Lord in the presence of all his people. Psalms 116:14 NLT https://bible.com/bible/116/psa.116.14.NLT

All the glory, praises and honor be to the Heavenly Father in Jesus’ precious name!

The subject verse is very critical for all the believers of the Almighty God. We cry to the Living God in our times of distresses and make vows for His divine intervention and deliverance. The solemn promises that we make to the Lord are the vows. Vows are debts that must be paid. For the holy scriptures says that whosoever makes a vow to the Lord must not break it, but shall do it exactly as vowed.

‘A man who makes a vow to the Lord or makes a pledge under oath must never break it. He must do exactly what he said he would do.’

Numbers 30:2 NLT

Be ever thankful to God and fulfil all your promises

It must be remembered that we are always indebted to the Almighty God. We can never-ever pay Him back in full. For it is impossible even to know and understand the great and mighty things that our Lord did and continues to do so. And we are bound to glorify His mighty name with praises and sacrifices. We should always be reverently fearful, be ever thankful and exalt Him from the depths of our hearts. For the whole mankind is indebted to the Loving God. He is truly worthy of our praises and honor. And when we make a promise to God, it should not be delayed. As the following verse says, it is better to say nothing than to make a promise and not keep it.

‘When you make a promise to God, don’t delay in following through, for God takes no pleasure in fools. Keep all the promises you make to him. It is better to say nothing than to make a promise and not keep it. ‘

Ecclesiastes 5:4-5 NLT

Brethren, as the subject verse says, we should fulfill all the promises in the presence of all His people. This shall be done to glorify His mighty name alone and not to show ourselves as something we are not. For everything we have is the Lord’s. Yes, our only aim shall be to exalt the mighty name of the Living God in Jesus’ precious name.

Truly, let everything be done in Jesus’ matchless and mighty name. Amen.
