All the glory, praises and honor be to the Holy Father in Jesus’ precious name!

The subject verse is critical for every child of God. In the context of the verse, we see Moses asking the Israelites to diligently keep the commandments of God. For they are the way to the righteous life in God. Indeed, it requires us to put every effort towards keeping those for our own good. And it necessarily involves our physical, mental and spiritual efforts for their fulfillment.

Act of obedience

Keeping God’s commandment is our act of obedience to the Almighty God. We have fallen, because of our disobedience to the Living God. Truly, man’s disobedience in the garden of Eden distanced us from God who is holy and righteous. But, the only Begotten Son of God, our Lord Jesus Christ obediently and lovingly came down into this world to save us. He showed us how to live life in His way. He showed us that we could do so by fully depending on the Almighty God. Sin could never get hold of Him. Moreover, all our sins were put on Him, so that we be cleansed by His blood and made right with the Almighty God.

The life of our Lord Jesus show us how to keep the commandments by submitting to the will of the Holy Father. He loved God the most. And He loved all the people, even those who were putting Him to Cross. He walked a sinless life and lead sinners out of sin. Those who turned to Jesus and gave their hearts were made righteous in the sight of the Holy Father.

Therefore, let us also imitate our Lord in living a righteous and holy life. All the glory be to the Living God in Jesus precious and mighty name. Amen.
