Be with you
Surely, I will be with you! Says the Lord.
And the Lord said to him, “Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man”.
Man in his inclination to the world, most of the times doubt things that are from above. From the above means – which are from God. The Bible is full of God’s promises. Some claim that there are more than 3000 promises while some take the figure to 30,000. What ever the exact figure might be, they are worthless for any unbeliever. Even if you are a believer and does not hold on to the promises of God, then you too is as good as an unbeliever. Yes, it holds true even for a mega church pastor or for myself. Although for an unbeliever, it is a matter of faith in God, but for us what could it be? Does it mean little or no faith in God?
You may ask whether all the promises holds good for you. Certainly, Lord the Holy Spirit will reveal and acknowledge your promises when you ask Lord the Holy Father in the name of Lord Jesus Christ. Remember, what Jesus said in the verse from Matthew 24:35 :
Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.
It is very clear that trusting God is the best thing one can do. Most importantly, the words that proceed from Him will achieve their objectives. Rather than trusting ourselves or any other people, trust God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength. For He is bigger and mightier than anything or anyone. As God promised Gideon in the verse from Judges 6:16, He will surely be with you and allow you to defeat your enemies as one man.
Finally brethren, do not worry for you are the children of God, He knows you that you love Him the most. And that you abide in Him. He fulfills all His promises. Keep faith in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
