All the glory, praises and honor be to the Holy Father in Jesus Christ’s precious name !

This chapter of the subject verses constitutes what is called the pilgrims prayer. For the pilgrims prayed for the security of the city of Jerusalem. Since it houses the Almighty God’s temple, it is the most revered and sacred place for all. Although we are not going to discuss the current situation of the place; we shall go through what the Bible says about it.

The Holy Scripture asks us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Very importantly, if we do not pray, we shall miss the prosperity and blessings that comes through our prayers for the city. For the city is the God’s chosen place. And the Omnipotent God dwells in the midst of His people where He is worshiped and exalted. As the following verse says, it is the place where the people and the kingdoms assemble to worship the Lord.

‘So the name of the Lord will be declared in Zion and his praise in Jerusalem when the peoples and the kingdoms assemble to worship the Lord . ‘

Psalms 102:21-22

Earnestly desire for the peace

Indeed those who love the city of Jerusalem shall be secure. For it is the Living God who protects us. Even more, we shall seek peace within its walls and security within its citadels. The peace and welfare of God’s holy place is to be earnestly desired by all the children of God. For in that desire we shall show our love for the Living God. Yes, we shall pray for the city out of reverence and love for the Almighty God.

And it shall truly be a blessing for all who prays for the peace of Jerusalem. For it is the Almighty God who blesses us for His glory. May the peace of the Almighty God be over the city of Jerusalem in Jesus’s precious name. Amen.
