Exalted be the name of the Almighty God in Jesus Christ’s precious name !

The subject verse from the Book of Zechariah calls for the celebration of the coming of the Lord. Sing and rejoice says the word of God for it is the Lord Jesus who shall be the King of the land. In the context of the verse, it is the coming of the Messiah to Jerusalem to establish His kingdom. Eventually, the land of Israel shall no more live in fear of its enemies. For it shall be ruled by the King of kings and Lord of lords.

And many nations shall join themselves to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people. And I will dwell in your midst, and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you.

Zechariah 2:11 ESV

Another important aspect of the subject verse is that it can be interpreted to the second coming of the Lord. If we look the above verse, it states that many nations shall join themselves to the Lord in that day. That day which is the future day of the Lord when He comes to judge the nations and fulfill His covenants with Israel. Accordingly, the holy scriptures says that in the millennial reign of Christ, many nations will come and worship the Lord.

Dwelling of the Lord

Brethren, coming to our personal lives in this present age, it is all about the Lord dwelling in us. The Bible says that we are the temple of the Lord. We are not our own, but we belong to the Lord Jesus Christ. Most importantly, He purchased us by offering Himself as an atonement for our sins. Furthermore, He died on the Calvary Cross for you and me. Jesus gave His life so that we may be made righteous in the sight of the Almighty God. Moreover, it is His shed blood that speaks for all who repent of their sins and accept Him as their Lord and Savior.

Therefore, sing and rejoice all those in whom the Lord dwells. All the glory be to the Living God in Jesus’ matchless and mighty name. Amen.
