Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation.
Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.
Beloved in Christ, warm wishes and greetings in Jesus’ matchless name!
As the subject verse (2 Corinthians 7:10) says, the sorrow which God allows, brings a person to repentance. Furthermore, the repentance leads to salvation and that too without any trace of regret. By this sorrow we are not harmed, but is profitable to us as it is a gift of His grace and mercy. Remember, nobody is good in this world. And God by his love and amazing grace, gave us the power to be redeemed through his begotten Son. Certainly, the sorrow which the Lord allows in our lives, will make us stronger to live a righteous life. But the sorrow that world gives, binds a man to death.
Beloved, our Lord is near to all those who are discouraged. As the Bible says, He will never leave you, even when you are in hopeless conditions. We have the assurance of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Who clears all our sadness and fills us with His eternal joy.
For the Lord will not reject his people; he will never forsake his inheritance.Psalm 94:14 NIV
Therefore beloved, let us not be stubborn and live a rebellious life. But yield to the Living God, for He cares for you. His mighty plans are for your upliftment, goodness and well being. As the Lord says in the following verse:
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord , “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
Finally, let us cheer up for the gift of salvation we have through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, fully submit and surrender for the glory of the Living God. In Jesus’ matchless name. Amen.
