To be Holy and Faultless
God chose us in Christ to be holy and faultless in his eyes.
Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.
Praises and honor be to the God Most High !
The subject verse is from the very first chapter of Apostle Paul’s letter to the people of Ephesus. Paul speaks here about the spiritual blessings that we have in Christ. The most astonishing fact being that God chose us even before He made the world. To be precise, God loved us and chose us in Christ. The love of the Almighty God for the humanity is demonstrated even before the creation of the world.
Begotten Son to be the Sacrificial Lamb
God knows that the mankind that He would create and love the most of all His creation would sin. Truly, God knew that man would rebel against Him and give way to the sin. But out of His divine and holy love, God planned before hand to rescue the humanity from its own sins. Therefore, God chose His only Begotten Son, Lord Jesus Christ to be the Sacrificial Lamb to redeem the sins of the whole mankind. In fact, through Jesus His Son, God created everything in the heavenly realms and on the earth. And as the following verse says, also the whole creation was for Him.
for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.
Colossians 1:16 NLT
Predestined for adoption
How great is our Almighty God? The grace and mercy of the Almighty God was over us even before He set out to create us. Very importantly, He set His only Son to endure the Calvary Cross. Even knowing the torture and pain that His Son will have to go through for the redemption of the mankind. Moreover, the Almighty God predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ.
Brethren, let us not fall prey to lies of the satan. The devil is always at work to spread lies that God does not love us. It does not want us to believe in His Son through whom we have the redemption. Therefore the devil denies the divinity of the Son of God, Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the Calvary Cross.
Therefore beloved, if you are yet to saved, Jesus Christ is the only way. Come before Him and repent of your sins. He forgives every repentant heart and cleanses sins with the blood that He shed on the Cross. Thereby we are made holy and faultless in the sight of the Almighty God. Amen.
