Praises and honor to God the Holy Father; in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, warm wishes and wonderful greetings to you. The subject verse brings before us the prophet Ezekiel and his holy encounter with the Almighty God. In the preceding verse, the Omnipotent God addresses the prophet as the “son of man” and asks him to stand up on his feet. Clearly, there are two things to observe and follow when God calls. First, he yielded to God’s voice and stood on his feet and then heard what God spoke.

Most importantly, we are to remember that we mere mortals and unworthy of anything to be considered by God. And we should be thankful to the Almighty God if he calls us for his work. Moreover, our reaction and posture shows our reverence to Him. Slackness on our part would not set the stage right. As our Lord says, blessed are those who hear the word of God and obey it.

He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”

Luke 11:28 NIV

Trust in the Lord

Beloved brethren, when it is God who is calling us, then fear has no place in us. It is for us to understand the truth and let go off the fear of failure. The truth – God’s presence is always with us and we shall never stumble. For the Lord our God, equips us with all the things that are necessary for his work. As it is evident from the subject verse, the Spirit of God entered and strengthened the prophet and he was up on his feet. We are to yield to Him fully and depend upon Him for everything. As the Scriptures says, we are not to rely upon our own strength, knowledge or wisdom, but trust in the Lord. And He ensures the successful culmination of all His plans.

Therefore, let us yield to the call in Jesus’ matchless name. Amen.
