Righteousness Will Go Before Him
Righteousness will go before Him.
Righteousness will go before Him, And shall make His footsteps our pathway.
Praises and honor to the Holy Father, in our Lord Jesus Christ’s matchless name !
As prophesied by the Prophet Isaiah, John the Baptist proclaimed the coming of the Redeemer and the need to repent. The proclamation of righteousness before the coming of the Lord marks the first part of the subject verse. As it was preached before the coming of Jesus, the time has come once again to cry out to the people to repent and turn to the Lord. Indeed, the coming of the Lord is near and so is the establishment of the Holy Kingdom of God.
As the second part of the subject verse says, our Lord has set the path for all of us to follow. Indeed we are to walk in His footsteps so as to live our lives in His likeness. For His way is the way of eternal righteousness and the life is holy in the sight of the Heavenly Father. Furthermore, we are to remember that He is the way, the truth and the life. And there is no other way to reach the Holy Father without Jesus.
Finally brethren, we are to imitate our Lord Jesus Christ and follow Him carrying our cross daily. In Jesus’ precious and matchless name let us march ahead in our lives by setting our sight upon Him alone. Amen.
