Fruit of Labor

You will eat the fruit of your labor.

You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.

You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours. Psalm 128:2 NIV https://bible.com/bible/111/psa.128.2.NIV

Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, greetings in the mighty and matchless name of our Lord Jesus!

What a great way to start the day with a beautiful promise (Psalm 128:2) from the Lord, our God. Definitely, you will eat the fruit of your hard work. There is no doubt, every person who labors will receive his pay. But the pay very much depends upon the type and quality of work. A righteous person will always be happy and content with whatever he receives for his work. But what is more important is our attitude towards the Almighty. Are we thankful to the living God who gave us the much needed job? Do we acknowledge His ever-presence in all our works? Are we in the right attitude when working?

Beloved, those who are righteous in the sight of God will always give their best. They always do their job so as to glorify the Lord. Therefore, the blessings and prosperity will be theirs. No matter the kind of job or how low they earn. Happiness and joy are always present in their hearts and homes. The upright, always long and work for their eternity with God. As the below verse says, the labor of righteous tends to life whereas the wicked labor only to satisfy their sinful desires.

The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.

Proverbs 10:16 KJV

Labor in the Lord

Brethren, more than our regular work, we all have our own share of Lord’s work. No matter what the work you get to do for the Lord, do it with all your soul, mind, heart and strength. For the labor in the Lord never goes fruitless as the following verse says:

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV

Finally, do everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ for the glory of the Living God. Amen.
