Like a Green Leaf

Righteous will thrive like a green leaf.

Those who trust in their riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.

Blessed brothers and sisters in Christ, warm wishes and hearty greetings in Jesus’ precious name!

The subject verse (Proverbs 11:28) hereby puts before us the truth which the world takes it vaguely. The scripture is markedly plain; trusting the riches alone is a clear-cut way for a deep fall. It is for us to understand that the riches of this world are temporary. They are with us now and gone tomorrow. The riches will last as long as they are meant to be. We by ourselves have no control, for they fly away from us like an eagle.

Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.

Proverbs 23:5

Certainly, it is clear from the subject verse that those who trust in their riches are like those withering leaves. But the righteous are like those green leaves. Righteous in Christ, shall flourish immensely. For Jesus is the tree to whom we belong. Those who seek the worldly riches alone are definitely weak in their spirit. Moreover those who are dry in the spirit shall not seek to abide in God, who is the eternal life. Therefore, they fall when the life dries up. The Bible says, Jesus is the life for us. If we do not abide in Him, there is no life for us. For Jesus is the only way to the Holy Father.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John 14:6 NIV

Therefore beloved, let us fully turn to our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. Let our lives sprout green leaves for the glory of the Living God in Jesus’ matchless name. Amen.
