Believe and not doubt when you ask God.
But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
Blessed brothers and sisters in Christ, greetings and warm wishes in the precious name of our Lord Jesus!
The subject verse (James 1:6) enlightens us about the way we should approach the Almighty God for our needs. The verse is very clear in telling us to draw near to God. To draw with the belief that He has the power to do anything and everything. Moreover, we are not to doubt our Creator and Savior. For He established us in this world for His glory’s sake. It is neither our strength or our faith, that gets us anything. But it is His strength and faithfulness on which we can lean upon.
The Bible says that the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea. Blown and tossed by the wind. No doubt, we often find the life of the doubtful in similar manner. Plagued with restlessness, anxiety, discomfort, etc, Very importantly brethren, the Scripture seriously warns us about being faithless. The portion of the faithless is certainly the lake of fire according to the following verse.
But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.Revelation 21:8 ESV
Therefore beloved, let us not weigh this lightly, but seek the Living God to help with our faithlessness. For the Almighty God is willing to rescue us and give us the citizenship of the Holy Kingdom. Let us put all our faith in Lord Jesus who strengthens us to live a righteous life. All for the glory of the Most High in Jesus’ matchless name. Amen.
