One day in the courts of God

One day in the courts of God is better than thousand days spent elsewhere.

Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.

Psalm 84:10 NIV

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ! Warm wishes and greetings to you!

The Psalmist made an incredibly wonderful statement in the subject verse (Psalms 84:10). That, it is extremely good to be in the courts of our Lord. Even the best of the best places on this earth cannot make-up the presence of God. As the verse says, even a thousand days spent elsewhere in the worldly pleasures can never match even one day in the courts of God. For the rich love and presence of God gives us immense joy, peace and harmony. Yes, God’s abundant grace and mercy lifts everyone who is low, both spiritually and emotionally.

As the second part of the verse says, it is better to be the doorkeeper in the house of the Lord. Rather than dwelling in the tents of the wicked, it is truly blessed to be in the lowest of the lowest places in the house of God. Unlike the world which longs for the perishable things; let us set our sights on the things in the Heavenly realm. As it is often quoted that the God’s worst is better than the satan’s best. Therefore, the hardships and persecution for the God is more worthy than the devil’s split-second enjoyment. Yes, the hand-breadth’s life that we are to live is nothing than the life in eternity.

Jesus is the way

Remember beloved, with whom we are going to live to eternity is what we should ponder upon. It is either with God or with the satan in hellfire. The ultimate choice is ours. Most importantly, we have only two options – to either believe in the Son of God or neglect Him. And sorry brethren, there’s no third or middle option. Our only hope is our Lord Jesus Christ, for He is the only way, the truth and the life. As the below verse says, let us believe in the God’s one and only Son and be saved.

Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

John 3:18 NIV

All the glory be to God, in Jesus’matchless name. Amen.
