Doer of the Work

A doer of the work will be blessed in what he does.

But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

James 1:25 NKJV

But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. James 1:25 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/jas.1.25.NKJV

All the glory, praises and honor be to the Heavenly Father in Jesus’ precious name !

The subject verse from the Epistle of John speaks about an important aspect of being a true Christian. Very importantly, the emphasis here is being a true Christian. For there are many who are nominal with respect to their Christian living. A true Christian shall always look intently into the said perfect law. Yes, one has to stoop down closely and carefully to embrace the goodness of the law that liberates us. For the worldly laws are binding on us, but the perfect law of the Lord gives us freedom. And the following verse confirms the freedom that Christ has given to us.

Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

Galatians 5:1 NKJV

As can be seen from the above verse, Christ has made us free, but it is very important for us to continue in His perfect law and not be forgetful. Moreover, we shall be the doer of the law and eventually be blessed in all things we do. As the following verse says, we shall keep His laws for a great reward.

Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward.

Psalms 19:11 NKJV

Therefore brethren, let us live our lives in the Lord and continue to be the doer of His word. Furthermore, in all our works, we shall give glory to the Holy Father in Jesus’ matchless name.

In Jesus name alone. Amen.
