Kneel before the Lord

Let us kneel before the Lord our maker.

‘Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker,’

Psalms 95:6 NLT

Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker, Psalms 95:6 NLT https://bible.com/bible/116/psa.95.6.NLT

All the glory, praises and honor be to the Heavenly Father in Jesus’ precious name!

The subject verse brings before us the primary action that every person, not just a believer should do. More so, this is to be done in reverence, love and affection from the depths of our heart. For there is no place for any artificial honor or for a routine religious act. Honoring the Almighty God and acknowledging His omnipotence, His omniscience and His omnipresence is our duty. And what could we ever do to glorify the Omnipotent God?

Submission to the Almighty God

Bowing and kneeling is an act of honoring and submission to the authority. And the Almighty God is very worthy to receive glory and honor from our bowing downs and kneeling. And this is the very act that we see all throughout the Bible. From the patriarchs to the kings, all bowed and knelt before the Almighty God. The Scriptures say that Daniel knelt down on his knees thrice a day before the God. Even our Lord Jesus humbled himself and prayed to the Holy Father on His knees. By kneeling, Lord Jesus showed His submission to the Father’s will.

Every knee shall bow

As the children of the Living God, we are to bow down and pray on our knees. By this we show our reverence and love for the Lord. And there is one more event that brings the whole humanity to their knees. That is the day of judgement, meant for everyone whosoever has taken birth in this world. The Begotten Son of God, Jesus Christ shall judge all of us at the appointed time. As said in the following verse, every knee shall bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth. That day shall decide our eternity, which shall be either with God or without God.

‘that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,’

Philippians 2:10 NLT

So brethren, let us seriously ponder over this question — where shall we spend our eternity? Get on to your knees and submit to Him who is able to save us from eternal condemnation. Prayer times on our knees shall strengthen our perfect walk with God. Do not rely on self, but depend upon the Lord, our Redeemer Jesus Christ.

Repent and wash your sins by the shed blood of Christ and be saved. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
