Rejoice with Joy

You believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory.

‘Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. ‘

1 Peter 1:8-9 ESV

Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:8‭-‬9 ESV https://bible.com/bible/59/1pe.1.8-9.ESV

All the glory, praises and honor be to the Heavenly Father in Jesus’ precious name!

The subject verses from the first epistle of Peter reveals to us what is considered to be blessedness. And this blessedness was spoken in the very words of Lord Jesus. Jesus spoke this words to one of His disciple, Apostle Thomas.

Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

John 20:29 ESV

And through the subject verses we see another variant of the same words. But this time through His another disciple, Apostle Peter. As Peter says, “though you have not seen Him, you love Him.” And, “though you do not now see him, you believe in him”. Loving the Lord and believing in Him without seeing could be considered as the true faith and hope. For they portray our absolute belief in the Son of God and the ultimate sacrifice He did on the Calvary Cross.

Adoption as the sons of the Living God

As the subject verses says that the outcome of our faith is the salvation of our souls. Truly, this is the faith and the hope we now have. That we shall be adopted as the sons of the Living God. Therefore, we shall rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory. As rightly said in the following verse, the hope that is seen can never be called a hope.

‘For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? ‘

Romans 8:24 ESV

So, stay blessed in the Lord by continually living in the hope of our salvation in full submission to the will of the Living God. In Jesus’ matchless and mighty name. Amen.
