The Holy Scriptures make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

The subject verse from the Second Epistle of Paul to Timothy brings before us the importance of the Holy Scriptures. The Holy Scriptures which we have in the form of Bible is the written word of God. Though it is written by men, but the author is Lord the Holy Spirit. The Holy Bible reveals to us the Almighty God and His relationship with the mankind. Also, the Scriptures reveals to us the fall of man and God’s ultimate plan of redemption through His Begotten Son Jesus Christ.
Teach the Scriptures at an early age
The Holy Scriptures teach us the way to the eternal life. Moreover, the scriptures are meant to be studied or rather imbibed to live a righteous and holy life. And when this is taught from the early ages, they are sure to remain very close to our hearts. Knowledge of the Holy Scripture empowers us to walk and talk right in the sight of God. As Timothy was taught from His early age, he benefited exactly as said in the subject verse.
Faith and wisdom
You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies; For they are ever with me.
Psalms 119:98 NKJV
Very importantly, we gain wisdom and faith by studying the Holy Scriptures. The Psalmist through the above verse clearly brings forth the fact that God’s commandments makes us wiser than others. Also, the subject verse says, they make us wise in understanding God’s plan of salvation. Especially to understand that it is through faith in Jesus Christ alone we have the redemption.
Therefore, let us continue to read the Holy Scriptures so that we keep enriching in the knowledge of God and His eternal plans as revealed in the Holy Scriptures. Along with the studying of the Holy Scriptures, let us also grow in our prayer life that we may have intimate relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.
